Los fans de los británicos Thunder estamos de enhorabuena ya que la banda ha anunciado la reedición de sus tres primeros álbumes de estudio en formato expandido. Esto significa que el sello BMG pondrá en circulación el 28 de abril de 2023 en los formatos CD Digipak y doble LP con vinilos de color “Backstreet Symphony”, “Laughing On Judgement Day” y “Behind Closed Doors”, la primera vez que esta tripleta de discos va a estar disponible en este último formato desde su edición original. Estas ediciones incorporan como decimos raras versiones en directo, cortes eliminados y canciones inéditas pertenecientes a cada álbum.
“Backstreet Symphony” fue publicado en 1990 con gran éxito comercial y de crítica. Producido por Andy Taylor, de Duran Duran, el disco alcanzó el número 21 en la lista de álbumes del Reino Unido y se convirtió en disco de oro gracias sus cinco sencillos: “Love Walked In”, “Dirty Love”, “Gimme Some Lovin”, “She’s So Fine” y la canción que da título al álbum. En su nueva versión en doble LP estará prensado en un disco color dorado y otro plateado.
Su continuación, “Laughing On Judgement Day”, se publicó en 1992 y entró en las listas de álbumes del Reino Unido en el número 2 (superado en el número 1 por “Kylie’s Greatest Hits”), alcanzando la categoría de disco de oro y generando cuatro singles en el top 40 del Reino Unido: “Low Life In High Places”, “Everybody Wants Her”, “A Better Man” y “Like A Satellite”. Con este álbum, Thunder consiguió darse a conocer a un nivel más global, lo que les llevó a realizar numerosas giras por todo el mundo. El doble LP contará con un disco de color blanco y otro azul.
“Behind Closed Doors” se publicó originalmente en 1995 y alcanzó el número 5 en las listas de álbumes, consolidando a Thunder como una de las principales bandas de rock británicas. El álbum fue coproducido por el guitarrista Luke Morley y Mike Fraser (Aerosmith, AC/DC, Bryan Adams), y en él colaboraron todos los miembros de la banda, además de Andy Taylor. Los singles “Stand Up”, “River Of Pain” y “Castles In The Sand” alcanzaron el top 40 de las listas de singles del Reino Unido. Esta reedición contará con un vinilo transparente y otro rojo.

UK rockers Thunder’s second studio album, Laughing On Judgement Day was originally released in 1992 and like its predecessor ‘Backstreet Symphony’ was a huge critical and commercial success, peaking in the UK album chart at number 2 and achieving gold sales status. Four UK top 40 singles were also released from it; Low Life In High Places, Everybody Wants Her, A Better Man and Like A Satellite. The band toured the globe as the album picked up momentum everywhere and is still a firm fan favourite until this day. This new expanded edition contains bonus live versions of songs from the album. The vinyl has been out of print since its original release and is repressed as limited edition colour vinyl.

The third studio album by English hard rock band Thunder, Behind Closed Doors was originally released in 1994 and peaked at number 5 in the UK album chart upon release. Reinforcing them as one of the finest rock banks from the British Isles. Three UK top 40 singles were released from it; Stand Up, River Of Pain and Castles In The Sand. The album was produced by guitarist Luke Morley and long standing mixer, Mike Fraser with writing contributions from every member of the band and former producer and Duran Duran guitarist, Andy Taylor. The album is considered a classic among fans of the band and hard rock alike. This new, expanded edition contains live & acoustic versions of classic songs from the record. It’s also reissued on limited edition, double colour vinyl, the first time since release in 1994.
