El 23 de abril de 1976 salía a la venta el debut homónimo de Ramones, lo que significa que ayer lunes, coincidiendo con la celebración de San Jorge/Sant Jordi se cumplieron 42 años desde el lanzamiento original de esta joya que marcó indeleblemente el devenir de la música rock.
Podríamos hablar largo y tendido de este disco, de su influencia y su importancia en la historia de nuestra música, pero antes que plagiar a la Wikipedia y quedar de eruditos preferimos que seáis vosotros mismos los que hagáis el trabajo de investigación.
Pero lo que sí queríamos era rendir homenaje al disco (y por ende a los Ramones) dedicándole hoy esta sección de “La canción del día”. Y para ello hemos escogido “Beat On the Brat” por ninguna razón en especial, sino simplemente por no ser demasiado obvios. Probablemente una de sus letras más gilipollescas… ¡pero qué grande!
